365 ways to wellbeing – 97th way

Do physical work

I told you that my mother broke her wrist. It´s a bad thing if you work on a farm. And especially bad if you work on a farm where all the work is done just with your bare hands in an old stone cowhouse.

I´ve always liked farm works. I used to work in our cowhouse when I was still living at home. Combination of meaningful work, physical exercise and animals works for me.

When I applied to study in the university I also applied to study as agrologist so that I could have become a farmer some day. I got in the university and I buried the dreams of a farmer`s life. I haven´t regret my decision but I haven´t stop liking farm works either.

This day I did all the work in our cowhouse while my parents babysat our girls. Five hours of heavy physical work. That´s the exercise I say! (I highly appreciate my mother who has done this daily over 40 years!!)

What was my feeling after working! Great, simply great! Again I noted that the body of a human being is created to move and not sit in front of  the computer 8 hours a day!
