We celebrated Unna`s birthday in the beginning of July on lake Puruvesi. I can`t believe she is already two years old! On the one hand, as a mother it’s nice to see how your child is growing. On the other hand again the more she grows, the more she starts to be independent. I know that Unna is only two but I have started to realize how the children really are only “borrowed to us” and what the phrase “parenthood is about letting go” means.
We were able to surprise Unna on her birthday morning
Unna liked her first present, a jewel case, a lot – and so did mom
Henri went to pick up grandparents and other guests to the island
It was nice to get Jonas the dog also on the island because he and Unna are good friends

This shouldn`t happen but it did anyway…Every mom`s nightmare… Luckily my mom was able to save almost half of the cake I dropped on the ground.
For a dessert we had pancakes with strawberry jam
Pancakes are even more delicious when you make them in the nature
Half of the time children were in the water
We have made MANY sand cakes this summer
