Learn To Practice Gratitude In Your Life

365 Ways To Wellbeing – 349th Way

We improve many of our skills constantly as we strive to become better at something. We want to be better at skating, writing, photographing, volleyball, and countless of other things.

But also emotions can be developed. Gratitude for example, which is great emotion to be developed as it affects our wellbeing quite a lot. When being grateful of the  good things in our life we start to focus more on good than bad. We develop positive feelings towards our life. Negative feelings don’t take a hold on us so often anymore if we’re being grateful on a regular basis. One way to do it is keeping a gratitude journal for example.

This day I listened Josh Groban´s Christmas album Noel. I think it´s one of the best Christmas albums ever! Full of warm Christmas feelings 🙂 I recommend! When I listened “Thankful” I started to listen the lyrics more carefully.  They are so good! The song inspired me to make a list of things that I´m thankful for in my life. It made me realize in a very concrete way how many good things I have in my life!

So feeling gratitude for my own life – that gave me good energy this day!

“Thankful” – Josh Groban

Somedays we forget
To look around us
Somedays we can’t see
The joy that surrounds us
So caught up inside ourselves
We take when we should give.

So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be.
And on this day we hope for
What we still can’t see.
It’s up to us to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There’s so much to be thankful for.

Look beyond ourselves
There’s so much sorrow
It’s way too late to say
I’ll cry tomorrow
Each of us must find our truth
It’s so long overdue

So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be
And every day we hope for
What we still can’t see
It’s up to us to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There’s so much to be thankful for.

Even with our differences
There is a place we’re all connected
Each of us can find each other’s light

So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be
And on this day we hope for
What we still can’t see
It’s up to us to be the change
And even though this world needs so much more

There’s so much to be thankful for
